Katie Haldane - Co-Founder / Director
Katie Haldane is the vibrant Co-Founder and Director of Trash Your Bible (TYB). With a passion for igniting a love for the Word of God, Katie brings her dynamic teaching style to the forefront as the Teaching and Preaching Director for C3 Syd. With an impressive academic background, she has spent 15 years as a Lecturer at C3 College in Sydney, Australia, where she continues to guest lecture on topics such as the New Testament Survey, Advanced Bible Studies, and the books of Romans, Galatians, and Revelation.
Holding a Bachelor of Theology and a Masters of Theology, Katie is nearing the completion of her Doctorate, focusing on Revelation and the Greco-Roman Culture. Her expertise makes her a sought-after communicator, frequently teaching and preaching at churches and conferences across Australia.
Katie's enthusiasm for the Bible is infectious, and she is dedicated to helping others engage with its teachings. Known for her love of books, she humorously admits to being a self-confessed book nerd—so much so that she should never be left alone in a bookshop with a credit card! Her energetic and approachable style makes her a beloved figure in the TYB community and beyond.
Kerry Fleming - Director / Co-Founder
Kerry Fleming is the creative and strategic force behind Trash Your Bible (TYB), serving as Co-Founder and Director. With an impressive 20-year career in the corporate world, Kerry brings a wealth of experience to TYB. Currently, she is the Head of Marketing and Events at Clime Investment Management, where her expertise in financial planning, team management, auditing, and compliance seamlessly transitioned into the realms of marketing and event management.
Kerry's diverse skill set makes her an invaluable asset to the TYB team. Whether she's editing videos, updating the website, or crafting new logos and banners, Kerry's hands-on approach ensures every aspect of TYB shines. Her ability to juggle countless tasks with grace and efficiency is unmatched—there's yet to be a challenge she can't conquer!
With a heart dedicated to helping others and a knack for keeping the team's academic minds grounded, Kerry provides the perfect balance to the TYB project. Her passion for creativity and people makes her the heart of the TYB community, ensuring that everyone feels welcome and inspired on their Bible journey.

Ryan Kerrison - Deep Dive Writer
Ryan, originally from Darwin, came to Sydney to study and hasn’t left. Ryan worked at C3 College and lectured in Advanced Theology, Creation to End Times and many more subjects. As one of the founding writers and team members of TYB, Ryan is one of the smartest people we know. He has his Masters in Theology and will no doubt have his Doctorate and running Academic Colleges around the world in no time!
Kati Hornburg - TYB-YTH Co-Ordinator
Kati is from Germany and came to Sydney Australia to study. She completed her Advanced Diploma at C3 College and was an intern with Trash Your Bible for two years. Kati is the creator of the amazing www.tyb-youth.com website. Smart, gorgeous and so much fun we loved having Kati on our team!

Mary is our editing genius! Sweet, gorgeous and incredibly smart. Mary spent three years going through all of our blog posts and editing each and every one of them. She makes us sound smart! Dr Kyle Keimer is a Lecturer in the Archaeology of Ancient Israel. He received a B.A. in anthropology from the Ohio State University, an M.A. from Wheaton College in Biblical Archaeology, and a Ph.D. from UCLA in Near Eastern Languages and Cultures, with a specialization in the archaeology of the southern Levant. He was both the George A.
Barton Fellow and an E.C.A. Fellow at the W.F. Albright Institute of
Archaeological Research in Jerusalem in 2011 and 2012, respectively.
Ella Hickey is a coffee drinking, exasperatingly optimistic, irresponsibly tattooed, twenty-something assistant pastor, novice radio announcer, neophyte writer and Bachelor of ministry graduate. She would describe herself as a theological pilgrim and one who tries their very best to be sensible and reliable (despite the tattoos and caffeine dependence).
Ryan Smith is the Creative Faculty Head at C3 College, a lecturer and a generations pastor at C3 Church in Oxford Falls. He was the Music Director at Oxford Falls from 2004 until 2016 and has been involved in over 20 praise and worship releases over the last 20 years.
Reverend Keith Garner AM is the CEO/ Superintendent of Wesley Mission. In his role, Keith has the responsibility of leading almost 2,000 staff and more than 4,000 volunteers across 130 different centres, and well over 1,500 congregation members. Since taking up the role in 2006 Keith has thoroughly immersed himself in the life
and work of Wesley Mission, inspiring those who serve alongside him through his
passionate teaching and preaching and mobilising others through his role as
social advocate and spokesperson.
Rev. Dr Adam White is Head of the Biblical Studies and Senior Lecturer in Biblical Studies at Alphacrucis College in Sydney Australia. He has a PhD in Ancient History from Maquarie University. One not to be missed!
After visiting Israel, Palestine and Jordan for the first time in 2010,
Emma Austin became a passionate, lifelong lover and student of the geography of the
biblical lands. She completed a Master of Theology at Alphacrucis College in
Sydney, writing a thesis on Eastern Orthodox iconography, and lived in Jerusalem
for 2 and a half years completing a second Masters in Biblical History and
Geography. She is now a doctoral student at the University of Sydney, studying
the way that the prophet Jeremiah uses geographic imagery to creatively rethink
the relationship between God, the people of Israel and the land.
