Day 3: Change Your Mindset.
Change your mindset.
Ephesians 4:22 You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitudes of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.
Reflection
When you read your Bible, it helps you to change your mindset, to allow your attitudes of your mind to be made new, to transform your thinking. Do you need new thoughts? A new way to think about your life, your job, yourself? The Bible can help. As you read the declarations and statements in the Bible, you’ll learn what it says and keep thinking about it over and over again. These declarations, promises and statements swap your negative thoughts for the truth of the Bible. When you are anxious, you become more than a conqueror (Romans 8:37), when you are scared, you get to know that God has not given you a spirit of fear (2 Timothy 1:7), when you need hope, you know that God has given you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). Swap your old self for a new attitude today.
Question
What mindsets in your life would you love to change? What scriptures in the Word of God can you stand on to change this mindset?
Prayer
Lord, I pray that as I read my Bible you will change my thoughts and the attitudes of my mind. You will help me to stop being discouraged and start to take courage in the promises of the Bible. You will change my thinking from hopeless to hopeful, fearful to fearless and show me the future and hope that You have planned for me.
