Ephesians Dip - Day 4

DAY 4 - IDENTITY MARKER 4 - KNOW WHERE YOU ARE SEATED

Ephesians 2:6-7 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.

Where are we seated? Paul boldly proclaims that we are seated with Christ in the heavenly realms. How incredible is that? This is the position we pray from, the position we stand in.

Sometimes I feel like I am praying from the miry clay, or the midst of the fire but I have to remind myself of this scripture and my identity in Christ. In Him, I am seated in heavenly realms with Christ. That is why I pray with confidence, with the perspective of heaven, not overwhelmed in my problems but up above them.

Also I a ‘seated’ in heavenly places. A seated position is one of security and authority. Christ has gained all the authority in Heaven and on Earth and we sit in that authority in Him. I find that so amazing, overwhelming and humbling all at once. I’m not pacing nervously, I am resting seated in His authority.

So remember, we don’t pray from a position of defeat, we pray from a position of authority in Christ. Being firmly grounded and established in Him, we know our identity.
